Tikal again! Taken at sunrise from hundreds of feet up, on top of another ruin.
I have a request to make, of anyone who is a bit bored and feels helpful in the next week or so... I have an opportunity to display a few photos as part of a multi-artist show. The theme of the show is "secrets" and I plan to display some of the pictures of Mayan ruins. The idea is to represent the secret of the decline of the Mayan civilization, something that has yet to be understood by historians, as well as the secret of Tikal, where the jungle climbed its way up and over the ruins, hiding the city in a shroud of green secrecy.
So... to do this show, I need to pick between one and five photos, with one central photo for the published materials. I don't have much experience with picking photos for display. Among this photo and the photos linked below, do any jump out as good for the central photo? Are there any you think I should definitely use or not use for the rest of the display?
