On a Cross
Continuing the theme of polluted waterscapes, here's a shot off the beach in Livingston, Guatemala.
And in response to yesterday's questions... I have no idea what type of tree it is (sorry!), it was taken somewhere in Thailand (I forgot where), and really, are those red things roots? (responding to Ray).

This is very cool with each bird looking in the same direction.
polluted waterscapes, interesting theme, is this like a sunken boat or something, and uhh did you say Guatemala? wow seems like you are doing your fair share of traveling!!
That is so beautiful and so well composed. Very very nice.
They look as if they are anticipating the arrival of a rescue boat...
Yes...they are red roots. These trees have conventional root systems in the earth, but also have these aerial root systems for pulling moisture [and possibly nutrients] out of the air. There is a whole bunch of air-feeders, known as "epiphytes", which are common in rain-forests, and include many of the beautiful orchids.
Regarding this pic...love the birds, but might pass up on the opportunity to swim here.
Even though the sky is lovely and blue, the wind was obviously very gusty as the water is very choppy and the birds are looking slightly wind swept
Well composed,great colours
Just a wonderful composition. I love the colours. Well done!
X marks the spot - but what is buried down there? Actually, it doesn't look very polluted. The birds are wonderful.
Love the colours and those birds are amazing - they look like wooden statues of birds. Horizon needs straightening a little!

This is nice... they look like statues!
Great composition. It looks like those birds don't even want to put their feet in the water!!
Stunning, great composition, well done.
originale, cette image, c'est très bien vu !
Everything is right in this shot Jewlya, main subject on thirds, three birds and the horizon not across the middle.
I love this. Brian.
Very well composed and effective in its message.
They give a new meaning to wind surfing. Looks like they are enjoying themselves,
